PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES:

Education:

KISEP has Early Childhood Development Centres and Primary schools where it:

• Provides teaching and learning materials
  
• Carries out expansion and renovation of school buildings
  
• Carries out education campaigns
  
• Provides basic school requirements for the OVC's

Environment: Mobilization and sensitization of CBOmembers for clean-ups at the CBO level.

Guidance and Counselling: For in-school and out-of-school girls and boys on issues of drugs,
HIV/AIDS and children's rights.

Lobbying and Advocacy: On education, environment, childrens rights, and other issues.

Capacity Building: Helping CBO officials and School Management Committees (SMC) to effectively implement projects. KISEP offers an in-service course for teachers under the programme, and helps strengthen participation of parents in the management of community schools.
